National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis
PRESENTED BY THE WORLD ORGANIZATION AND PUBLIC EDUCATION CORPORATION OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF PSYCHOANALYSIS
Saturday, November 12, 2016
New York Law School
185 West Broadway, New York, NY 10013
8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Provocative. Political. Personal.
NAAP’s 44th annual conference will offer clinical and cultural windows that stimulate new perspectives on relationships and clinical practice, and may make us a bit uncomfortable. In an era when all identity is challenged, when the nature of every relationship is laid open for inspection, what attention is given to the question of our conceptions of masculinity and manhood? What messages are communicated about a masculine ideal? Are they what we want to nurture in the next generation? What impact do these nonverbalized constructs have on the clinician and therapeutic practice?
The much sought after Gradiva® Awards, celebrating outstanding contributions to creativity and exploration of the human experience, will be presented at a delicious luncheon banquet.
Debrief and relax with colleagues at our post-conference wine & cheese reception.
